ACHIEVE PROJECT

Jan 17, 2023

DREAMS stands for Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe. It is a program that provides young women ages 15-24 years old with comprehensive evidence-based interventions and services to reduce HIV risk from sexual partners, strengthen families, and mobilize communities for change.

The ACHIEVE consortium works with USAID Missions, national governments and existing response partners to identify gaps in HIV prevention and treatment programming among target populations. Using best practices and expertise along with innovations, the project is addressing critical gaps to meet country-specific epidemic control goals.

As part of its strategy, ACHIEVE is working to prevent and respond to gender-based violence and to empower youth to own their own future. To ensure that the consortium’s efforts are sustainable, ACHIEVE is developing the capacity of local organizations to directly receive USAID funding in line with PEPFAR’s 70/30 localization goal and USAID’s Journey to Self-Reliance

Non-government organization working to provide Services to people in need, to advocate for justice and social structure by influencing change in policies, programs, and practices.
