DREAMS stands for Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe. It is a program that provides young women ages 15-24 years old with comprehensive evidence-based interventions and services to reduce HIV risk from sexual partners, strengthen families, and mobilize communities for change.
The program helps prevent HIV among young women, and provides opportunities for mentorship and economic advancement. Nearly 47,000 adolescent girls and young women have enrolled in the Tanzania DREAMS program. The program is initiated by HJFMRI-WRP-T, Ministry of Health and Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC), Regional, District councils, Wards and village level to abide and adhere to all existing country guideline. where Tumaini Community Services Organization being the implementing partner to Mbeya region specifically in Kyela DC, Mbarali Dc and Mbeya CC with highly support of Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elders and Children.
Non-government organization working to provide Services to people in need, to advocate for justice and social structure by influencing change in policies, programs, and practices.
